Shauna McLatchy Adix was born 13 June 1932. She married Vern Adix, a professor of theater at the University of Utah. They had two children, David and Allison. Adix was a professor at the University of Utah, the first director of the Women's Resource Center (1971-1989), and an activist in women's issues.
